First and foremost, let me say that attempting to blog seems to become more challenging every week (from a technical standpoint). Aside from my escaped thought, last week's class was thought-provoking and informative. Mr. Kamp's presentation really made me think about what I would do in a precarious situation. As a small business owner, that is not where my attention has been, yet he demonstrated through several scenarios why businesses small and large should have contingencies plans in place. Having a team-player mindset, I was also impressed at Mr. Kamp's poignant emphasis on including every department right down to the receptionist in on the Readiness Planning process. Last week, two clients shared stories of rude front-line and middle managers looking down their noises at the so called "underlings," and I think that is extremely self-centered thinking ("no man is an island unto himself").Just my thoughts, Brenda
